Large scale grids are complex systems composed of thousands of components from disjoined domains. The Grid approach provides the ability to access and use distributed resources. The emerging Grid infrastructure gives rise to a class of scientific applications and services to support collaborative and distributed resource-sharing requirements. Because such applications operate in a collaborative mode, data must be stored and delivered in timely manner to meet deadlines. Hence, this class of applications has stringent real-time constraints and quality-of-service (QoS) requirements. A QoS management approach is required to orchestrate and guarantee the interaction between such applications aid services. Planning the capacity to guarantee quality of service (QoS) in such environments is a challenge. The problem of allocating processes of a Grid application to computer servers can be formulated as a distributed search problem. The goal is to allocate an application's processes to those computer servers that can provide the required Quality of Service and can execute the processes in a cost-efficient way. This thesis studies the concept of Quality of Services in Grid Computing. Two models were being analyzed and compared to find out their difference. Mathematical analysis was conducted using software on the two proposed models. The results of the analysis were tabulated in graphs to reveal the details. The outcome of the study shows that the variation of one constraint parameter will affect the overall performance of the system. Therefore, given a limited resources, the usage of the resources has to be optimized and planned properly in order to achieve the desired outcome in performance.
