A wide variety of standards and recommendations have been written to create security models from the organization basics to the top management level. The IT security experts applies this models depending on the application and companies requirements but it’s difficult to explain the cost-benefit relationship and the importance of involving all the organization processes and people who are working in them. This paper shows the basis to achieve a functional security model based on existing standard models and tries to unify the criteria in order to optimize time, people and budgets resources.
