Abstract

This study basically examines the worthiness or enhancement of value by the merger and acquisition (M&A) activity, performance and the price paid for the deal by using various financial methods and valuations. Previous studies which are stated in the literature review of this study (Sirower, 1997) and (Jensen & Ruback, 1983) made a conclusion that in the event of the M&A, the target firms would enjoy with higher return in terms of price paid and also the firm’s performance after the merger. The conclusion of this study as well slightly agree to the reaction and an additional methods been implemented in order to clarify the case even further. This study covers all the chronologies in the M&A activities, which is involving the acquirer DRB Group, and targeted firms (Gadek, Gadek Capital and HICOM) as well as the valuation before and after the merger.
