Abstract

The crystal structures of a number of triorganotin derivatives of N,N-thiocarbamoylthiolyacetic acids have been documented. The triphenyltin derivatives adopts carboxylate-bridged chain structures and when they crystallizes with coordinated water, the resulting compounds display hydrogen bonded layer motifs. Trimethyltin N,N-dimethylthiocarbamoylthioylacetate also adopts a linear chain structure in which the tin atom is five-coordinate whereas in tricyclohexyltin N,N-diethylthiocarbamoylthilylacetae , the tin atom is only four coordinate.
